5th Consortium meeting in Cuenca, Ecuador 24-27 April 2023

This year, the ELEVATE team gathered at the 5th project Consortium meeting, this year in Cuenca, Ecuador.

During the 4-day meeting, the results obtained and ongoing activities of each Work Package (WP) were presented and challenges and potential solutions were discussed. Progress towards the project goals, WPs objectives and deliverables for the remaining lifespan of the project was discussed. Upcoming activities for each WP were adapted if necessary and an operational plan for the upcoming months was established. Finally, the team participated in the finalization of the request for a 12 months no-cost extension.

Next to presentations on the progress and discussions on upcoming activities, several field visits were organised. Field visits to the communities of Sinincay and Ricaurte, where fieldwork is taking place, as well as a field visit to the health facilities where research for the ELEVATE project is conducted in Ecuador (SOLCA – CEM – Laboratory).

It was a very fruitful annual meeting!
